Ive used the name brand hydro turf and it works well and is pretty easy to install. It has a better adhesive backing so you dont have to use extra adhesives. Pretty durable but if it sets outside the sun can eat it up pretty quick. If its under roof or tarped it holds up great. Check out Outrigger outdoors. They were the first with the adjustable lighting. We use there bow mounted lights and they work great.

My old time carpenter uncles taught me the correct way to use a hammer. ( many dont know how to do correctly)You hold it a little loosely. A 1/4 of the way from the end or wherever your comfortable. n from the end. What you do is throw the hammer head . Let that weight do the work for you not your arm. Ive showed many . Its in holding the hammer looseley and letting the wrist run loose .throwing the weight down. Just try it.

Dude I’ve been following you for several years. Helped me out a lot with trapping. I’ve told myself I was gonna make these jugs for 3 years now. Finally looked this up again and gonna follow thru. Also, I loved the part when ya said “once you cl get good at tying this knot, you can leave a very minimal tag line…IF YOURE INTO THAT SORTA THING”

Could you make a video on how you made and how you tie off to your spike poles sometime.

@2:50 you mention there is no set formula. Funny story but that's exactly how Formula boats got their name. Don Aronow (Donzi) and his business partner talking boat hull design and his son said something about there being a 'formula' to building a race boat hull.. And the rest is history. Is a maul sharp like a splitting axe? I'm new. But I assume the edge isn't as sharp I have a maul. But don't know what an edge should look like.

Tiny boat nation has a bunch of options at average prices, diy or pre routed. I am personally ordering marine mat brand, great glue, removes in one piece later on when it’s time to replace.

I’ve got a pretty nice foam in my boat and I really love it BUT it’s a rec boat I ride around on. I find the foam to be pretty fragile and I’d never use it for a sport boat like this.

Not familiar with deck foam mat. Have worked on, helped built several commercial fishing and Naval vessels. Textured deck paint is waterproof and lasts decades. Open ocean for days and weeks at a time, with wet decks, that you can wash down at sea. Provided properly prepped and applied. Great traction in the worst of conditions. Tough as nails. Lights is up to you, but if you don't already have one, consider getting a solar panel set up. Keeps your batteries charged even when moored or in your back yard on a trailer. Know it cost money but marine batteries ain't cheap. Hope it helps or gives you options. Glad to see you back.

Lots of “ any-way”

The knock off eva foam works works good. I had to use contact cement to hold it down though. The adhesive thats on the foam itself didnt hold up espicially in hot temps and started to peel so highly recommend the contact cement and weigh it down until it cures. I use it in a duck boat and works great. So far its holding up great. Has a few gouges into it but that was my fault throwing things into the boat. Also use cardboard to make patterns since its tricky laying the foam down in the boat and cutting as you go so much easier with patterns.

There’s a lot of info on that decking on the jon boat groups on fb from my understanding the adhesive ain’t as good but you can use your own adhesive

I need some advice on how you made your egg bait do you have any more information on it if you were selling it I wouldn’t ask but you don’t to my knowledge
